Terms of Use

Effective date: October 16, 2026 · Version 1.0

By downloading and using Cockpit, you accept the terms below. If you don't accept them, please don't use the app.

Know this first

Only change Cockpit's settings while your car is parked. Don't use the app while driving. Traffic rules and road conditions always come first. The information on the widgets is for information only.

1. Parties and scope

These terms are between you, the user of the Cockpit app, and Valeria Şengün (individual developer, "we"), who develops and publishes the app under the Rexx Studio name. Cockpit is a Rexx Studio app. Cockpit is not directed at children under 13.

Because you download the app from the App Store, these terms apply in addition to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). For how data is used, see the Privacy Policy.

2. What the app does

Cockpit puts widgets with your own car, your name and your chosen color on CarPlay and your iPhone. When your car connects, an iOS Shortcuts automation plays a sound that greets you by name and shows a "Welcome" card in the Dynamic Island and on CarPlay. The welcome sound is generated on your phone.

The widgets and the welcome sound are unlocked with a paid plan; the app shows which features depend on the plan. We decide which features we offer, and we may update and change the app.

3. Driving safety

4. Subscriptions and payment

Plans are purchased in the app; payment and billing are handled by the Apple App Store. Prices are shown in the App Store and on the app's payment screen before you buy, and they vary by country and currency. The app may sometimes show a discounted offer; the current price is shown on screen before you confirm.

Auto-renewing subscriptions (weekly and yearly)

Lifetime (one-time purchase)

The "Lifetime" plan is not a subscription: you pay once and it does not renew. It applies for as long as we maintain the app (see Termination).

Refunds and restoring purchases

Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's rules: reportaproblem.apple.com. If you changed phones or reinstalled the app, you can get your plan back on the same Apple account with "Restore Purchases" on the payment screen or Account → "Restore purchases". These terms do not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.

5. Rules of use

6. Content you enter

The name, car name and other text you type into the app, and the photo you add, are your responsibility. Typing the name of a car brand or model does not create any connection with that brand; respecting the rights of others when you use their brand, name or photo is up to you. This content stays only on your phone; we don't see it.

7. Trademark notice

CarPlay is a trademark of Apple Inc. Cockpit is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Apple or any car manufacturer. Other brand and product names mentioned in the app belong to their owners.

8. Intellectual property and open source

The app's design, software, text, sounds and app-specific images belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright law. We grant you only a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the app for your personal use.

The welcome sound is generated with the open-source EMA Lightning voice model (Apache 2.0 license). This component is subject to its own license; you can find the license text in the app under Account → Open source licenses.

9. Third parties

CarPlay, widgets, Live Activities and Shortcuts are features of Apple's iOS; how they work depends on iOS, your iPhone and your car's CarPlay support. Payment runs through Apple, purchase verification through RevenueCat and ad measurement through Meta; their own terms and policies apply.

10. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that it will work without interruption or errors. In particular, we can't guarantee that the widgets, the welcome sound or the card will work the same way in every car, given iOS updates and differences between phones and cars. To the extent permitted by applicable mandatory law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, or for the consequences of using the app while driving (such as accidents or traffic fines). This does not limit liability arising from our intent or gross negligence, or your consumer rights that cannot be excluded by contract.

11. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; your subscription must be cancelled separately in the App Store. We reserve the right to restrict access in case of use that violates these terms. If we decide to permanently discontinue the app or one of its features, we will try to announce it reasonably in advance; if there is a paid period, we will offer a solution in line with Apple's rules and the law.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is published on this page and the effective date changes. If there is a significant change, we will also announce it in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you don't accept them, you can stop using the app.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For transactions you make as a consumer, in case of a dispute you can apply to the competent Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts under Turkish consumer law. If you live in another country, your mandatory consumer rights there remain unaffected.

14. Contact

You can send questions about these terms to support@rexxstudio.app. For help, see Support; for data, see the Privacy Policy. These terms are also available in Turkish; if the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
